Candle Care
At Flicker and Find, we believe in the beauty of natural wax and the art of hand-poured candles. Learn more about how to care for your candle and the natural variations you may notice.
1
Natural Variations
Wet Spots: Occasionally, the wax may pull away from the glass, creating translucent patches, which is often caused by temperature changes, shipping, or storage conditions.

Frosting: A white, chalky, or crystalline layer may appear on the wax over time. This is a natural wax contraction and temperature changes.

Note: These are natural characteristics of high-quality, natural waxes, like coconut-soy blends, and do not affect the candle's performance.

Proper Burning Tips
First Burn Matters: Allow the wax to melt evenly across the top (usually 2-4 hours) to prevent tunneling.

Trim the Wick: Keep your wick trimmed to 1/4" before each burn for a clean, even flame and minimal soot.

Avoid Drafts: Place your candle in a stable, draft-free area for an even burn.
3
Candle Safety
Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Keep away from children, pets, and flammable objects.

Stop burning when 1/2" of wax remains to prevent overheating the jar.
4
Storage & Shelf Life
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperature changes to help maintain appearance.

Over time, slight frosting or wet spots may develop; this is a natural occurrence and does not impact performance.
